Douglas Little for Dell

Dell collaborated with Douglas Little, creative direcotor of D.L. & Co., to create these limited edition versions of the Adamo laptop. Each one is based on a story that makes a series Little calls the “Tales of Technology”. The mother-of-pearl was based on the Princess and the PC, and the black one was influenced by Web Master/Master the Web. There are nine different designs, each is priced at about $5,000.

It's nuts thinking about what Rihanna looked and sounded like when she started. I really love the direction she's taken

Jimmy Choo for H&M

Preview
H&M is collaborating with Jimmy Choo for a limited collection coming this November 14th. The line will include clothes, shoes, accessories, bags and a men's line. It will be available in 200 H&M stores worldwide (hopefully Seattle!). It's a very party-oriented line, lots of sequins, fringe and leather. Frankly, I'm not super impressed (there's a particular heinous pair of studded, reptile, puke-colored booties that I'm not fond of) and the price range isn't one I'd expect to see at H&M (clothes range from $69 to $249). However! I'm gonna give it a chance, I'm excited to see it in person and I do think it's cool major designers are trying to reach out to a greater market. Look for Sonya Rykiel for H&M in Spring 2010 and check out H&M for more on this line.

Wu Tang x Dubstep

Dubstep x a major artist whaaat? The sound has been slowly permeating mainstream music in a sort of watered down form, but it's still cool to see it on an album cover. I was actually introduced to dub by my little brother, HEY Z! I can't say I listen to it regularly, but I do dig the sound. The two tracks are from Wu Tang's follow up album to the 2005 album Wu Tang Meets the Indie Culture Vol. 1. Vol. 2 is releasing November 10th. They're keeping it pretty tightly sealed, sorry I couldn't find a version without a dj. Here's word on the project...

This groundbreaking album is trail-blazing the collaboration between Dubstep and Hip-Hop, with stomach-pounding, bass-thumping guttural beats, and gully, gritty and grimy lyrics that break into the next decade in the chapters of each respective genre’s history...this one of a kind compilation is at the forefront of an emerging cultural and musical blend that is taking place on the margins of the mainstream, but will be talked about for years to come…."

lol so maybe Wu Tang's intro is a bit too epic, but still check it out! And the bonus track is my favorite dubstep track, compliments of my bro :)

Vincent Nord Photography

Just stumbled upon Vincent Nord photos and I had to post. The first photo is from a shoot called Warriors and the second is from Out of Colour. I saw the black and whites first and I was impressed, but I became a fan after seeing the cool use of color in the second shoot. Please check out his webpage Vincent Nord Photography
