Fix You (Randy Boyer's OGL '09 Mix) - Coldplay
This starts up about a minute into the song, but its one of the best Coldplay remixes I've heard. Definitely listening to this on the loong car rides home.

As a side note, this is the Tank Chair designed by Pharrell Williams...
Unconditional Love ft. Phyllisia Ross - Jah Cure
I liked this song, but what i liked most was the inspiration behind it...
"In summer of 2007, world-renowned reggae heavyweight Jah Cure was released from prison after serving eight years for a crime the artist maintains he did not commit. Though such an experience would leave most bitter and jaded, Cure emerged from the ordeal more driven than ever to spread positivity and spirituality through his music. Nowhere is that attitude clearer than on the Kingston native’s latest single (and first Booth feature), a tribute to the redemptive power of Unconditional Love."
I think it's pretty remarkable that someone could go through that and come out so positive. It's inspirational to read about somebody who has such a definite idea of themselves that such an experience doesn't affect their ideas of the world.

XV
XV is an upcoming artist from Kansas. He seems to be doing some work with Big Sean and Mike Posner, who are both featured on his mixtape. I really liked the whole thing, but here's a couple favorites from the Everybody's Nobody.
XV - Now Look
XV - Life vs. Livin' ft. Big Sean
XV - Fall Out the Sky

And the beat goes...
Sometimes when you're studying (or not studying, as is the case right now) it's nice to just listen to good music. No hooks, or chorus lines, or promos in the intro. I tend to listen for the beat of a song, more than the words, but even I get tired of lame rhymes and rappers' self-proclamations of being number one. So here's some of my favorite instrumental tracks....maybe it'll get me to actually do some reading.
Ratatat - Seventeen Years
Orsten - Fleur Blanche
Deadmau5 - Ghosts 'n Stuff
Pretty Lights - My Other Love
Pretty Lights - Cold Feeling
Ratatat - El Pico
Caspa & Rusko - Jahova

Broken Bells
A while back I put up a post about Broken Bells, the new band formed by Danger Mouse and James Mercer of The Shins. They've been working on the album release, and here are two tracks that have leaked. The album is set to release March 2010, i'm looking forward to hearing the rest! Also you can check out their website it's a pretty cool design brokenbells.com
(the post was deleted again, so i have to post this without track titles)
