Getting folky
Lately I have gotten into what I would call "folky" sounding music. Artists like Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe, The Tallest Man on Earth and Jenny Wilson have been frequent plays on my ipod, but none have made it to this blog. I'm posting this late, but as it is a new discovery for myself I wanted to share with you too.

Deadmau5 + Wolfgang
Deadmau5 has been invading my head for the last several months. And recently Wolfgang Gartner has joined in on the auditory attack. Now the two have collaborated on this track....and my eardrums hear no reprieve in sight. I'm loving it. Enjoy this gem :)

ENTER THE VOID
Enter the Void is the latest release of French film director Gaspar Noe, he calls it a "psychedelic melodrama". The film is about an American drug dealer named Oscar who's killed, but stays on Earth as a spirit to watch over his younger sister. I haven't heard anything about this movie and after a little researching it was clear why - the movie hasn't been released in the US. It's been floating around the international film circuit for over a year and got mixed reviews due to its graphic nature. But needless to say it looks visually incredible and I hope to see it soon. What Trinity Films had to say about the movie will be a better explanation...
"ENTER THE VOID is the highly anticipated new film from Gaspar Noé (I STAND ALONE, IRREVERSIBLE), the former enfant terrible of French Cinema. A filmmaker of a singular passion and cinematic vision that continues to challenge us, Noé is one of the most exciting directors working today. The provocative director’s latest work is a visually arresting and audacious ‘psychedelic melodrama’ of familial ties, inner consciousness and the circle of life played out against the neon-soaked backdrop of Tokyo’s nightscape of strip bars, clubs, and seedy hangouts, all lit up like a pinball machine."
